June, 2010 - After many years of trying to work with an old, outdated and technically insufficient website, the Town of Discovery Bay Community Services District (CSD) is pleased to announce the launch of its new website as well as the Town’s new URL:  www.todbcsd.ca.gov.

Developed by NIA Creative, the new Town website enables Discovery Bay residents to locate needed information quickly and easily, while also enabling Town staff to enjoy hassle-free content maintenance and updates via WYSIWIG inline editing tools that are built-in to the site’s new Content Management System (CMS). 

The new website has grown in size and scope as compared to its predecessor, better meeting the needs of the community which has also grown and evolved significantly in recent years.  Visitors to the new website will find:

• An attractive and intuitive interface that reflects the beauty and vibrancy of the Town of Discovery Bay, coupled with all-new photography shot specifically for the Town website
• An upgraded and better-organized navigation system that enables site visitors to easily browse for information needed; an integrated search feature and site map round out the navigation tools
• Updated and comprehensive content that is relevant to DiscoveryBay residents as well as local businesses
• New tools to better serve Town Staff and the community such as:
  • Service Request System
  • News & Press Release/Announcement System
  • Upgraded Community Calendar System
  • Agendas & Minutes System
  • Community Alert System
  • Email Opt-in System, also integrated into the Community Alert System
  • Future ability to link to an online bill-pay system once the Town moves forward with online bill-pay as an option for payment of water bills
  • Ability to post video and audio files, should the District decide to proceed with video or audio recording of CSD Meetings

The site will facilitate improved transparency and communication between the CSD and residents.  New email addresses for CSD Directors and Town Staff will ease electronic communication as well since all Directors and Staff will utilize an email address that correlates with the new URL.
