2010 - Town of Discovery Bay CSD launches its new website

2009 - Sheriff's SubStation opens and the Town receives enhanced police services paid for with P6 funds

2009 - Library-a-Go-Go installed in Sandy Cove Shopping Center

2007 – Discovery Bay secures its own Zip Code, 94505

2006 – Grand opening of Lakeview Plaza

2004 – “The Lakes” development in Discovery Bay West breaks ground

2004 - Discovery Bay expands and constructs a new state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility, and solar sludge drying facility

2003 – Grand opening of the Sandy Cove Shopping Center

2003 - Discovery Bay begins to treat drinking water with completion of construction of 2 water treatment plants, at a cost of $7 million dollars.

2001 – US Postal Service opened the Discovery Bay Station and the first home is built and sold in Discovery Bay West

2000 – Discovery Bay officially registered with the state as “Town of Discovery Bay”

1997 – Discovery Bay Community Services District (CSD) formed

1992 – Discovery Bay Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) established

1989 – Discovery Bay Chamber of Commerce was organized

1988 – Cornell Park dedicated and named for Ed Cornell

1987 – The Discovery Bay Yacht Club grand opening for the club house

1986 – The Discovery Bay Country Club opened on July 4th

1981 – Discovery Bay Marina had its grand opening

1980 – Discovery Bay Fire Station was dedicated

1977 – Hofmann Construction purchased Discovery Bay

1976 – Discovery Bay Volunteer Fire Department was established

1972 – First home was built in Discovery Bay

1970 – First Discovery Bay lot was sold.  Deep water lots sold for $12,000
